由當代印藝主辦，首屆「國際活版節」正式登場！為期三天，我們將連結世界各地的活版印刷工作室、藝術家和愛好者，共同推廣活版印藝，讓大眾感受此傳統技藝的非凡魅力。敬請期待～

Organised by Print Art Contemporary, the inaugural edition of “Letterpress International” is officially here! Over three days, we will bring together letterpress studios, artists, and enthusiasts from around the world to promote the art of letterpress and share with you the extraordinary charm of this traditional printing technique. 好開心邀請到孫耀瑜 @yao_u 嚟主持【木活字海報印刷工作坊】！Yao Yu嚟自新加坡活版印刷工作室TYPESETTINGSG，佢提到木活字以前多數用嚟印海報，所以一般尺寸比較大（可以成個人咁高！），而且通常比較窄身，務求慳位，有幾多字塞幾多字～

聽日嘅【積木活版印刷工作坊】仲有小量名額，千祈唔好錯過！

So excited to have SUN Yao Yu @yao_u hosting the【Letterpress Wood Type Poster Workshop】! Yao Yu, from Singapore’s TYPESETTINGSG studio, mentioned that wood type was mostly used for printing posters in the past, so they’re usually larger in size (some as tall as a person) and narrower to save space~

There are still a few spots left for tomorrow’s 【LEGO Letterpress Workshop】, so don’t miss out!

「Types Relive當代活字印藝國際作品展」展現咗6位藝術家重新詮釋活版印刷嘅匠心獨運，有純粹以活字印製嘅作品，亦有結合書法、絲網版畫同麻膠版畫嘅創作，一齊搶先睇.ᐟ.ᐟ

Types Relive: A Contemporary Letterpress Art Prints Exhibition explores the evolution of letterpress printing from a craft to an art form. It features works printed entirely with movable type and works that incorporate techniques such as calligraphy, screen printing and linocut. Check out the profiles of 6 participating artist.ᐟ.ᐟ

➏ 陳麗娟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗮𝗶-𝗸𝘂𝗲𝗻

文學及視藝創作者，個人詩集《有貓在歌唱》（2010）獲第十一屆香港中文文學雙年獎新詩組推薦獎，及後於2015年出版散文集《不能抵達的京都》。2019年獲邀參與美國愛荷華大學國際寫作計劃，並於2025年畢業於國立臺北藝術大學文學跨域創作研究所，獲藝術碩士學位。

陳氏為活字保育單位「字活」創辦人之一，並為香港版畫工作室2015年POP UP PRESS! 個展系列藝術家之一。

CHAN Lai-kuen is a writer and artist born and raised in Hong Kong. Her book of poetry “Were the Singing Cats” (2010) was awarded the Recommendation Prize of the 11th Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature. Her prose collection “Kyoto that Cannot Be Reached” was published in 2015. Chan was invited to participate in the International Writing Program Fall Residency of the University of Iowa in 2019. She graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts with an MFA in creative writing in 2025.

Chan was the co-founder of Chinese letterpress preservation group Zi Wut, and was a participating artist of POP UP PRESS! presented by Hong Kong Open Printshop in 2015.

➎ 楊忠銘 𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴-𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴
@yang.chungming

近二十年來，楊忠銘（生於1974年，台灣）累積了多元的藝術實踐能力。從專注從事版畫創作開始，他的作品探索個人與文化之間的共通點，融合並反映傳統與現代、東西方影響下當代社會與全球的動態。

畢業於臺南藝術學院造形藝術研究所的他，在2003年創辦以版畫藝術推廣為主軸的324版畫工作房。他致力於創作，同時進行教育與藝術推廣。他認為藝術應該是所有人都可以觸及的美好境地。

在2014年台灣國立故宮博物院的邀約演講中，他對版畫的介紹與詮釋，促成院方邀請他參與隔年的委託創作展出，是該院首次邀請當代藝術家參與院藏珍品展出。該展覽展示了過去和現代的版畫技法與美學風格間的有趣對比。

💬 香港成日有市集，「國際活版節 2025」有咩咁特別？
🐱 比起其他市集，我哋定位超級niche/小眾（哈哈），檔主賣嘅嘢六成以上都係「活版印刷」～雖然加埋其他印藝比如riso/孔版印刷，一定更加豐富；但作為第一屆活動，我哋想重點話畀觀眾聽——活版呢種傳統工具其實好吸引，有好多又靚又特色嘅設計，希望大家珍惜、欣賞

想像力與油墨交匯之處。2011年，我們前往紐約參加了一場活版印刷工作坊，本來只是一次畢業旅行，其後卻生出了更重要的意義。我們後來在eBay買下第一部機器—— 一部超過70年歷史、重量超過300公斤的Vandercook SP15打稿機，並將它從美國海運到新加坡。那個決定很衝動吧？但如俗語有云，接下來的故事已成歷史。多年來，The Gentlemen’s Press不斷進化，但有一件事始終未變：創造優質印刷品的堅定熱情。期待年年有今日！設計。印刷。重複。

Where Imagination Meets Ink. What began as a graduation excursion to New York in 2011, where we participated in a letterpress workshop, soon transformed into something much more significant. We found ourselves purchasing our inaugural piece of equipment – a 70-year-old Vandercook SP15 proof press weighing over 300 kilograms – on eBay and shipping it back from the US to the shores of Singapore. Remarkably impulsive, wouldn’t you say? However, as the saying goes, the rest is history. Over the years, The Gentlemen’s Press has undergone continuous evolution, yet one thing remains constant: our unwavering passion for creating high-quality prints. Here’s to many more years ahead!
